The Living Tradition is an organization dedicated to promoting family-friendly music jams, concerts and contra dances.  We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month for our concerts and the 4th Saturday of each month for our music jams and dances.

There are no activities in December due to the holiday closure of the Anaheim Community Center.

Please note:  All of our events are currently on hiatus, until further notice, due to COVID-19 concerns.

The 3rd Saturday concerts feature touring musicians, many of whom who have national and international name recognition.  The concerts are held in the  Downtown Anaheim Community Center, 250 E. Center St. in Anaheim and begin at 7:30 p.m.

The 4th Saturday jam is open to all acoustic instruments and begins at 5 pm until 6:45 pm.  All ability levels are welcome.  It is held in the  Downtown Anaheim Community Center, 250 E. Center St. in Anaheim

The 4th Saturday contra dance begins after the music jam, usually about 7:15 pm.  No partner is necessary and each dance is taught prior to dancing it.  Both the jam and the contra dances are held at the Downtown Anaheim Community Center, 250 E. Center St. in Anaheim and begin at 7:30 p.m.  These dances are great exercise and a way to meet new friends.

We hope to see you at one of our events, once the Covid-19 emergency has passed.

Stay well!
All the best,
Patty McCollom- President of The Living Tradition
